The Galaxy Watch 5 is one of the best smartwatches on the market. It runs the latest version of Wear OS, has a blazing fast processor, and has great health and fitness tracking. It’s probably our favorite smartwatch. That said, it’s hard to come up with a way for Samsung to improve its next iteration, the pseudonymous Galaxy Watch 6.
That’s not to say it’s a perfect smartwatch. No technology is perfect. There are always things that can be improved. Galaxy Watch 5 has some drawbacks. That said, Samsung doesn’t have to go far to improve its successor. Here are some of the features we’d like to see in the Galaxy Watch 6.
physical rotating bezel

One of the biggest changes to the Galaxy Watch 5 series is the removal of the physical rotating bezel. One. Comfortable and more reliable than capacitive touch bezels.
It would be nice if all Galaxy Watch 6 models had this feature, not just the top model. Samsung, we just want it back.
Improved battery life

The Galaxy Watch 5 promises improved battery life over its predecessor, lasting up to 50 hours on a single charge. Battery life is definitely better than the Galaxy Watch 4, but compared to what Samsung claims, it still leaves a lot to be desired. I use it for about a day and a half, while the watch has tracking on and wake up enabled. Still not bad.
If you want true multi-day battery life, you should look to the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro, but you’ll also have to deal with its large and bulky design. Through a combination of both, Samsung needs to figure out ways to extend battery life even further.
Blood pressure monitoring in the US

Samsung has very good health sensors that can track sleep, heart rate, SpO2, and more. In addition to EKG monitoring, Samsung has also enabled blood pressure monitoring from the watch using pulse wave analysis. However, despite several generations of the feature being available on Galaxy Watch devices, the feature has yet to arrive in the US.
It’s not entirely Samsung’s fault. This feature is subject to FDA approval before it becomes available to Galaxy Watch owners in the United States. That clearly hasn’t happened yet, so hopefully Samsung can figure out why and make the necessary adjustments for the next model. Thinking about it, Samsung would be a huge advantage for users who might depend on it.
yes it’s a camera

Smartwatch cameras are less common. It’s generally relegated to smartwatches for kids so parents can easily stay in touch with their kids.Samsung has dabbled in smartwatch cameras before, but its The implementation was cumbersome. Still, there’s probably a way to implement the camera without compromising the clock.
Meta is rumored to be working on a smartwatch with a camera for video calling. The only thing missing is video calling, as it is already possible to send text messages and make voice calls from the smartwatch. If anyone can make this possible, it’s Samsung. Also, given the company’s relationship with Google, the two may launch his Wear OS version of Google Meet for use on watches.
fingerprint sensor

This is a feature we’ve long expected from mainstream smartwatches. To be honest, I’m a little surprised Samsung hasn’t adopted it for smartwatches yet. Given that features like Google Wallet require security measures such as he PINs and patterns, the fingerprint sensor will help speed up the unlocking process.
It would be cool to see an in-display fingerprint sensor on a smartwatch, which Samsung seems to be working on in the past. does not have a crown, so the space between the two side buttons is an ideal place to place the fingerprint sensor.
Software change

When it comes to software, the Galaxy Watch 5 has one of the best UI experiences you’ll find on a smartwatch. However, there are some quirks here and there that can be annoying or limiting.
Notifications are a big reason to use smartwatches. This allows me to stay in sync with what’s happening on my phone. It’s a minor annoyance, but I hope Samsung can fix it by the time the Galaxy Watch 6 arrives.
Additionally, Samsung has some health tracking features that are still limited to Galaxy smartphones. ECG and blood pressure monitoring require the use of the Samsung Health Monitor app, which you’ll miss if you’re using another Android phone. I can understand why Samsung would like to keep some features in the family, but I hope the company opens this up so everyone can use it.
