JerryRigEverything is very useful, but it can be a little scary when it comes to technology. In his latest YouTube video, the Galaxy S23 Ultra is on the hot seat as he tests how the phone can handle scratches, heat, and other unfortunate technical mishaps.
The test begins with the S23 Ultra’s screen protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2. The glass can withstand drops of up to 2 meters on asphalt, but the screen still scratches at level 6 and grooves even deeper at level 7. in the Moscale of hardness.
A knife is then used to test the durability of the sides of the phone. Your ears and heart may scream, but the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s sides don’t handle this test well. This leaves the metal material underneath. Then snap open the included S Pen and take a closer look at its contents.
The glass-encased back of the S23 Ultra is where many people scream the end of the test. Box cutter knives take in very quickly, but scratches are not easily visible. Testing shifted to a triple camera array, especially his powerful 200MP main shooter, and it seems to have worked.
Next, the screen of the Korean OEM’s latest flagship device undergoes a thermal test via a lighter. At the end of our 60-second test, the S23 Ultra looks like it can handle the kitchen. Before the test ends, JerryRigEverything puts his S23 Ultra through a flexibility test to see if it can snap the two together.
However, no matter how well the phone does in our durability tests, hooking up a Galaxy S23 Ultra case might put your mind at ease.
