GSMArena labs: We are launching a 3D size comparison tool

For years, I’ve felt the need for a way to compare the relative sizes of different phones. I considered making a tool with a static image, but that didn’t seem like the right solution. Instead, we worked with our partners at Binkies 3D to build on the 3D viewer he launched a few years ago, allowing us to view two smartphones side-by-side and examine them from all angles.

Choose from a list of over 700 (and growing) phones to view side-by-side with another phone. For example, using the normal comparison feature, side by side an iPhone 14 Pro and a Galaxy S23, you’ll see a new 3D size up button that allows you to jump directly to the 3D view.

Note: The desktop site can display specifications for up to three mobile phones. There is a button that lets you compare any two of his cars in 3D with one click.

I’ve also included a live demo below to help illustrate some of the features. The first is the full screen button in the lower right corner. This view also displays four buttons that allow you to quickly navigate between front, back, and side views.

Another great thing is that you can switch between different color options for the two phones.Binkies 3D’s models replicate the colors, gradients and surface finishes of your phone, so you can use metal, glass, plastic, etc. You can see how each element of is catching light as it rotates.

It is rendered in 3D, so you can freely view your smartphone from any angle. This makes it possible to examine differences that are difficult to convey in still photographs. The curvature of your phone’s screen (and back) – Compare Find X5 Pro and Galaxy S23 Ultra, for example.

Once on the Size Compare in 3D page, you can easily swap one model for another using the search field. The search on this page is filtered so only phones with 3D view available are shown. Go ahead and explore.
