We had some interesting announcements this week. The hottest story of the week was Xiaomi’s confirmation that the Xiaomi 13 series will launch globally on February 26th at Mobile World Congress. This means that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 powered Xiaomi 13 Pro and Xiaomi 13 will likely be on sale near you.
Alongside the Poco X5, Xiaomi has announced the Poco X5 Pro. The Pro packs a Snapdragon 778G SoC, a 6.67-inch 1080p AMOLED with a 120Hz refresh rate, a 108MP main camera, and a 5,000mAh battery with 67W charging. The Poco X5 is equipped with a Snapdragon 695, a 6.67 inch 1080p 120Hz AMOLED, a 48MP main camera and a 5,000mAh battery with 33W charging.
The base 6/128GB Poco X5 starts at $250/€250 and the base X5 Pro starts at $300/€300.
OnePlus has announced several phones, its first tablet, earphones, new TVs and keyboards. The OnePlus Pad seems the most interesting, with an 11.61-inch 7:5 aspect screen and a Dimensity 9000 chip. The tablet is due to arrive in Europe, India and North America in April, but no one knows the price yet.
OnePlus 11 has started international expansion. We already know the specs, so we won’t rehash them here. The OnePlus 11 will be available in North America, Europe, and the Middle East for the first time in the company’s history.
Meanwhile, the OnePlus 11R has launched in India with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chip, 100W charging and a starting price of Rs 40,000 for the 8/128GB model.
Realme has announced the GT Neo 5 with insane charging speeds. There are two models, one with 240W charging and one with 150W only. Charging aside, it’s the same basic blueprint – a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1, a 6.74-inch 144Hz AMOLED, and a 50MP main camera. It can be charged to 100% within minutes. The 150W model is a 5,000mAh unit.
