A new report from financial times claims that 50% of all iPhone cases currently manufactured in India are rejected by Apple’s quality control. The report, based on information from a former Apple employee, identifies a low yield problem at Indian manufacturing giant Tata’s factory in Hosur. No other manufacturing plants were mentioned in the report.

According to a new report, low yields of iPhone cases in India have hit Apple’s plans to outsource much of its iPhone manufacturing in India. A former Apple employee cited in the report believes the casing yield situation will improve, but the process could take considerable time and effort.
According to recent reports, Apple plans to move up to 25% of all iPhone production in India by 2025 and up to 50% by 2027.
