Samsung publishes high reparability score for upcoming Galaxy A54

The Samsung Galaxy A54 has been leaked for months, but for some reason the company hasn’t made it official yet. For now we have another piece of information about the device. This is provided directly by Samsung. Specifically, the official French website.

The company has uploaded a repairability score calculation for the Galaxy A54, done according to specific French standards. This produced the document shown below.

Samsung calculates high repairability score for upcoming Galaxy A54 according to French regulations

In the end, the A54 scored 8.4 out of 10. This is interestingly higher than the scores of the Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra. Both managed just an 8.2 out of 10, much like last year’s A54 predecessor, the Galaxy A53.

As such, things seem to have improved slightly over the years. Also, Samsung’s mid-ranger appears to be slightly more serviceable than its flagship, at least by French standards.

The report has a lot of good points, but the main downsides have to do with the tools required for the repair and the way the various parts are laid out inside the phone. It is said that it is not so easy. Otherwise it seems all good.

The Galaxy A54 will have a 6.6-inch (or so) FHD+ AMOLED screen with a 120 Hz refresh rate, an Exynos 1380 SoC, 6GB to 8GB of RAM, 128/256GB of storage and a triple rear camera system. (wide, ultrawide, macro – no depth sensor this time), a single hole punch selfie cam, a 5,100 mAh battery, but only 25W charging.
