An ultra-thin sheet of wood modified with nanocrystals acts as a shield against electromagnetic waves.

Electrical devices such as phones, laptops and microwave ovens produce electromagnetic radiation that can disrupt electrical circuits and impair performance or even stop the operation of the device.

To prevent this from happening, electrical components are often covered with protective conductive materials such as copper or aluminum that can absorb and reflect electromagnetic energy.
