We have a lot of questions about this Big Red boot.

How did you get the Big Red Boots? Were they sent to you by MSCHF(opens in new tab)?

yes. I am a YouTuber and his creator of almost all content related to sneakers. Yeah, they just showed up at my door one day and it was so crazy. Really big and red. And yeah, I was excited to check them out.

Did you know what to expect when you received mysterious packages from MSCHF? What was your first reaction when you got them?

I had an idea that something was coming along the boot line, but I wasn’t really sure what to expect on my hands. The first thing that surprised me was the size of the box. The box was really big, much bigger than any sneaker box I’ve ever seen. And, as you know, my feet are size 10, so I can only imagine that size 13 is really big.

How do they feel when you wear them?

Amazingly comfortable. I wasn’t really sure what to expect, but they are definitely big and a little bulky, and at least the foot and leg height are very different compared to other shoes. And the insole and comfort are very comfortable.

Is it like a springy crocodile material or is it a little stiffer than that?

I think it’s similar to Crocs and other foam shoes like Yeezy Foam Runners. It certainly has that kind of feel, but it’s a larger, perhaps slightly stiffer material.

Was it difficult to walk? Did it take time to adjust?

It took a little walking to get used to. But if you get used to it, you can wear it for a long time. I went to Sneaker Con this weekend and wore them for the entire event.

Do you know if it’s waterproof?

I have a feeling it will. I haven’t tried them, but they seem to be mostly rain boots or snow boots. Maybe I’ll have to test it.

Having trouble removing them?

It takes a little time to figure out how to remove it and how it works, but it’s not bad at all. You can lift your feet by simply pressing down on your shoes. But you can’t really get it in and out. It’s a little tighter than that.

There is it one video(opens in new tab) A person whose shoes have stopped working. If he’s too small, he’s definitely going to be. Mine fits snugly and has a little room to spare, but if your feet are too small to fit in, I think you may not be able to get your feet out.

Have you ever thought about how to style them? Are you thinking about that when you wear it on your next outing?

Yeah, I feel like I’ve seen a lot of different things online at this point.A popular angle is to put baggy pants over the shoes. The larger part of the actual sole of the shoe beyond the pants So it seems to be a popular style.

I tucked the pants into the boot so the shoe spoke a little more and was easily seen. But hey, I thought about it. I think it will be interesting to see what other people continue to do to get the shoes into more people’s hands.

How did you feel when you wore them at Sneaker Con?

I think the most common question I was asked was about taking them off. And I think so many people are really excited to see it in person or see what it looks like in person. , I’ve attended various shows like these in the past, as well as other sneaker cons.

Did people react negatively?

Most of them were definitely positive, and I found them really interesting. I said(opens in new tab) or Astro Boy(opens in new tab) But it felt overwhelmingly more positive than negative.

It’s cool to see that style doesn’t have to be taken so seriously.

Yes, this will be a nice refresher for your shoes. Because a lot of what happens in sneakers feels the same. A lot of the time it’s just a lot of big brands doing the same kind of thing and repeating different colorways, and seeing something different once, even if it’s a little fun or out of the ordinary It’s good. It’s nice to see something that gives you a little change.

What was it like to be basically a walking cartoon? Were you nervous? Did you feel liberated?

When I first got there I was definitely a little unsure of what was going to happen. So the pressure has subsided.

I did no crazy fit or anything. I tried to do something a little — you see — a little more subtle.

What’s your prediction for the February 16th drop?

It’s a lot of fun, and it’s sure to sell out quickly.I think it will be a lottery because of that [MSCHF has] It takes place in the old shoes where people have 24 hours to enter the raffle and are only notified if they win. But no matter how they do it, it will definitely sell out.
