Poco’s entry-level C line is getting ready to welcome a new member in the form of the Poco C55. Poco’s official Twitter account for India began hinting at the upcoming device today, promising to deliver “speed and swag,” as you can see.
Sure, it might sound like a run-of-the-mill marketing story, but it’s much more than that. “Avoid the case”? “beauty”?

Ultimately, those two things are related to the design of the back of the phone, which the brief teaser video above actually hints at. The prolific Leakster has shared the image below, so you can see that the Poco C55 has a synthetic leather look, with a synthetic seam running vertically down the middle.
We love the colors and finishes that POCO has recently chosen for its products. This is our first look at the upcoming C-series budget smartphone.
With these pastel colors, they appear to be clearly targeting the GenZ population.

There’s a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor housed in a giant black island on top, a large Poco logo on the right, and a dual camera system on the left. Between these cameras is a circle for the LED flash and another circle labeled “AI”.
As the model name suggests, the Poco C55 is supposed to be the successor to the Poco C50. But that’s not the case since the C50 was just announced last month. As such, we’re assuming it’s a device with higher specs than that while still fitting into the entry-level category.
The camera island design is suspiciously similar to that of the Redmi 12C, so it’s possible that the Poco C55 is just a rebranded version of that model. In that case, it would have a 6.71-inch 720×1650 LCD touchscreen, MediaTek Helio G85 SoC, 4/6 GB of RAM, 64/128 GB of storage, a 50 MP rear camera and a 0.08 MP depth sensor, 5 MP. Selfie Snapper, and a 5,000 mAh battery that supports 10W wired charging.
So, compared to the Poco C50, the C55 has a larger display, a better chipset, more RAM and storage, and a higher resolution main camera.
