Antibiotic-resistant bacteria may be a bigger problem amid the covid-19 pandemic. Modeling studies suggest that various lockdowns in Europe reduced cases of pneumonia-causing bacteria from 2019 to 2020, but increased the proportion of cases resistant to antibiotics.
