Competitor slides are your chance to shine as a founder
“We don’t have competitors,” some founders say. Or you may downplay the magnitude of the threat of competition, thinking that talking about it will ruin the magic spell you’re trying to cast on your investors. But talking about competition doesn’t ruin the magic you’re trying to cast. After all, no one thinks you’re starting a company in isolation.
There’s no such thing as a startup without competitors, but you need to know how to talk about them, including how you plan to coexist with them. Until, of course, wipe them off the face of the earth with your brilliance.
