Samsung has long focused on smartphone security. The Samsung Knox platform is built into Galaxy smartphones and is already protected against so-called zero-click exploits aimed at exfiltrating data.
Zero-click exploits arrive in the form of attachments and act immediately to take control of your device and sensitive data. Samsung Knox already protects you behind the scenes from such attachments in audio and video format. Galaxy users are now protected against image format exploits as well.
Samsung Message Guard is a kind of sandbox that quarantines image files that arrive on your phone and checks if they are safe. The feature will initially work on his Samsung and Google Messages apps, but Samsung plans to roll it out to third-party messenger apps later this year.

Zero-click exploits are extremely dangerous. This is because your phone can be hijacked and your data stolen while you are asleep or away from home.
Samsung Message Guard will premiere on the Galaxy S23 series and will be released on other Galaxy devices later this year.
