It usually looks like a very large watch, but at the bottom of the case is this jagged square button…

Huawei is still surviving despite constant trade war shelling from the US government, and its latest project suggests that perhaps all the stress is starting to get through to the company. The product Huawei “Watch Buds” is now being released internationally. As it says on the tin, this is both a smartwatch and earbuds? The smartwatch display can be attached to the lid of your wireless earbud case and the whole device strapped to your wrist. Please try to imagine. The smartwatch’s display rests on a hinge that lifts up, revealing his two large cracks within the watch body that hold and charge the earbuds. Think your earbuds are always ready.
How many ways is this a bad idea? Smartwatches are mostly limited by size, so making a smartwatch bigger is probably not a good design choice. container Like the wrist fanny packs of the 1990s, it’s certainly an interesting way to spend a limited space budget. Normally, a smartwatch with limited space should contain 100% smartwatch parts, which is about 50% smartwatch parts and 50% earbud parts. The watch body is officially 47mm x 47.5mm x 14.99mm, a larger volume than the Apple Watch Ultra (49mm x 44mm x 14.4mm), which is already too big for some.
In general, the size of smartwatches is limited in space, so it is very difficult to reserve battery capacity. Huawei provides a 410 mAh battery to run both watches. and You can charge your earbuds while in the earbud/smartwatch case. The Apple Watch Ultra also has a smaller body and a 542 mAh battery, which is just the role of a smartwatch. The device also has GPS, 24/7 heart rate monitor and sleep tracking features. The only benefit to saving battery life is not running Android and instead using Huawei’s “Harmony OS”. The name “Harmony OS” makes little sense when it comes to software stock. On smartphones, “Harmony OS” means a fork of Android, but on watches, “Harmony OS” is a completely different OS based on Huawei’s LiteOS. Huawei claims you’ll get three days of battery life “for the entire device,” while the company’s more regular LiteOS watch claims “14 days” for “normal use.”
Naturally, when the entire watch body is open, the water resistance goes out the window. I don’t see his IP rating on the watch itself (IP54 for the earbuds). Also, Huawei’s bylaws clearly state, “Keep the device away from water.” Whether or not you need to wash your hands is a difficult question. Huawei only lists a 1.43-inch, 466×466 OLED panel, doesn’t say anything about the SoC, RAM, or other components, and doesn’t mention much about other specs.

Two silver bands around the earbuds are for charging connections, and the earbud holder has two matching spring clips that engage them when the lid is closed. Huawei says the clip can damage the earbuds, but don’t worry.

Powered by a 30 mAh battery, the earbuds provide 4 hours of playback or 3 hours with optional noise cancellation enabled. Both measurements were taken at 50% volume, so the actual run time is probably less. One of the great features of Tiny Bud is the “Auricular Touch Control”.This means you can directly tap normal tap commands your ears No need to touch tiny buttons or touchpads on the earbuds themselves. To charge the earbuds, attach them magnetically to the inside of the watch lid. When you close the watch, the earbuds are pushed into a large cutout in the watch body, where the charging clip contacts the silver ring around the earbuds. Huawei says the charging clip “may slightly scratch the earbuds when you take them out and put them back in. This is normal.”
It’s not clear who a product like this is for.If you wear wireless headphones often and want easy access from your wrist case, you won’t be happy with the earbuds’ 3-4 hour run time. If you don’t like wearing headphones all the time, you probably don’t want to wear them on your wrist all day.If you’re somehow interested in the idea of a non-waterproof watch, Watch Buds cost £449.99 (about 542 $) can be pre-ordered. They ship March 1st.
