Poco X5 series about to get a third member: GT certified

The Poco X5 series was launched earlier this month along with the X5 and X5 Pro. Multiple listings have revealed that a third series member is in the works and will be called the Poco X5 GT.

The device with model number 23049PCD8G was listed with the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA), Singapore’s regulatory authority for media content, services and applications.

A similar device with model number 23049PCD8I was spotted in the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards), suggesting that the device could also hit India.

A smartphone developed by Xiaomi has also been spotted on IMEI’s website, suggesting that the X5 GT may have been renamed Redmi Note 12 Turbo. We don’t know much about it, but rumors suggest that it will feature a 6.67-inch AMOLED with Full HD+ resolution, a Snapdragon 7 Gen 2 chipset, and a 50MP main camera.

It is no longer news that Xiaomi launches one phone under two different subsidiaries. The Poco X3 GT was also marketed as the Redmi Note 10 Pro, while the Poco F4 GT is known as the Redmi K50 Gaming in China.
