Google Pixel Fold will be heavier than the Galaxy Z Fold4, packing a bigger battery

Google’s first foldable smartphone has been rumored for a very long time and is finally set to launch this year. It’s already been confirmed in leaked CAD-based renders, and today a new report mentions its weight.

Apparently, the Pixel Fold weighs more than Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold4. There is a possibility that

We don’t know exactly how big, but we’re told only that “the battery size will approach 5,000 mAh, but it’s still well below 5,000 mAh.” That’s closer to 5,000 mAh compared to the Z Fold4’s 4,400 mAh and the Oppo Find N2’s 4,520 mAh. So around 4,700 mAh?

As for reference points regarding weight, note that the Z Fold4 tipped the scales at 263g. So think of the Pixel Fold as a lightweight little tablet, according to today’s rumor source. Considering the size is not a small tablet, it seems less exciting.

According to Google’s leaked launch roadmap, the Pixel Fold should go official at or “around” the Google I/O developer conference, which usually takes place in May.
