Phoenix-based e-mobility company Lectric has announced new additions to its fleet of electrified vehicles for cargo hauling, including the recently launched XP 3.0 and XP Trike. The XPedition cargo ebike can carry up to 450 lbs, comes with a 1.3 kW peak motor, and can use dual batteries for 150 miles of range.

According to Lectric, the new cargo ebike is basically developed from the first XP model launched in 2019, and is intended for parents who want to leave their car at home when taking little ones to school, or for a cleaner bike. The ebike has a 750 W (1,310 W peak) rear hub motor that delivers 85 Nm (62.7 lb.ft) of torque and a top speed of 28 mph (45 km/h), which is limited can. Allows the XPedition to function as a Class 1 or 2 e-bike according to local regulations.

The cargo ebike is fitted with 3″ puncture resistant street tires on 20″ wheels, braking power is provided by front and rear hydraulic brakes with 180mm rotors, and integrated lighting enhances daytime visibility and a collapsible stem riser makes it easy to transport in the vehicle or store indoors.

XPedition is currently priced at US$1,399 for a single battery or US$1,699 for a dual battery configuration. That makes it a little cheaper than the RadWagon 4 and much cheaper than Trek’s latest entry into the cargo ebike space.
