Microsoft Bringing Xbox PC Games to GeForce Now

Stream your Xbox PC game purchases

Stories from hipster lifestyle (and tech) outlets The Barge, for Xbox games played on PC, it turns out to be coming to NVIDIA’s game streaming service. The only problem is that you have to buy the game separately to play it on GeForce Now.

Quoting Microsoft President Brad Smith (via The Verge):

“Microsoft will contribute Xbox games played on PC to Nvidia’s GeForce Now cloud gaming service, as well as all Activision Blizzard titles, including Call of Duty, to GeForce Now.”

Note that I say “Xbox games on PC”, not Xbox Game Pass. Well, one subscription service at a time. Apparently, the move would give Microsoft his NVIDIA support in the ongoing Activision Blizzard acquisition saga. It is not yet known if the transaction will be completed. Regarding timing, quoting The Verge again, “The game should start arriving at GFN in a few weeks, but it could take him a year to complete.”
