What you need to know
- Mobvoi announced its next flagship product, the Wear OS smartwatch, last summer.
- The device appears to have passed the FCC recently.
- This is expected to be the first Wear OS to feature the Snapdragon W5+ Gen 1 chip.
We’ve been waiting a very long time for Mobvoi to launch its next Wear OS smartwatch, but it looks like we won’t have to wait too long.
The smartwatch, which will likely be called the TicWatch Pro 5, reportedly recently (via Droid-Life) cleared the FCC, revealing some information about the device, including model number WH12088. I was. Other specifications that can be gleaned from certification include Wi-Fi, GPS, NFC, and Bluetooth 5.2. However, the most interesting specs have to do with battery capacity.
The application suggests that the watch may feature a 611mAh battery, which is a bit larger than the Galaxy Watch 5 Pro’s 590mAh battery. A single charge could last for days, which is a good sign for the TicWatch Pro 5.
We also get a sketch of the device with the measurements. The 47.8mm chassis suggests we might get a watch with a similar 1.4-inch display size found in the TicWatch Pro 3 Ultra. The sketch also reveals that the watch has what appears to be a rotating crown flanked by buttons on one side and a microphone on the other.

The watch is set to be Mobvoi’s first Wear OS 3 smartwatch. The company first hinted at the device last summer for a fall launch, but has been surprisingly silent since. It showed that it will be the first company to launch the The chip is believed to offer better performance and increased efficiency, which could also have a positive impact on battery life.
Unfortunately, much like the Wear OS 3 update to existing TicWatch smartwatches, Mobvoi hasn’t let us know when it plans to launch the device. A good indicator that something is to be seen.
