Today, thanks to an image leaked from an internal document, we know it’s Realme. Oppo spin-offs/derivatives/sub-brands/whatever you want to call yourself apparently this week seems to be working on cloning – no, I mean be inspired by – Apple homework. error, dynamic island.

You can see it in the images above and below. The phone, which will apparently be unveiled at next week’s MWC, beats out Huawei with a Dynamic Island punch. Realme CEO Madhav Sheth has previously hinted that such phones will include a pill-like camera cutout.

A quick look reveals that Realme’s island is wider than Apple’s, but the functionality is likely to be very similar. As you can see, the island is currently charging SuperVOOC. Here is the actual GIF that was leaked.

It’s still unclear if third-party apps can somehow access Realme’s islands, but don’t be surprised if the answer is no and you only get system-level stuff like charging, switching media, etc.
