Elon Musk’s Twitter Is Hit By At Least Six Lawsuits(opens in new tab) CNBC reports that he was accused by various companies of failing to pay his bills.
According to the legal and public records database Plainsite(opens in new tab), these non-payment lawsuits have been piling up since December. Four of those lawsuits he filed in February, two of them just this week. These updates come from corporate event planning firm Blueprint Studios, which has allegedly solicited Twitter.(opens in new tab) About $340,000, including taxes for the canceled event, and AI software company Writer, Inc. alleges Twitter owes them.(opens in new tab) Over $220,000 in subscription fees.

Earlier this month, M&A firm Innisfree filed a lawsuit against Twitter.(opens in new tab) for alleged nonpayment of approximately $2 million.Analysis Group, which provided litigation consulting to Twitter and its attorneys prior to the Musk deal, filed a lawsuit over alleged non-payment.(opens in new tab) A day before more than $2 million.
Twitter was sued in December by its San Francisco landlord, Columbia REIT, and private jet provider Private Jet Services Group, according to Plainsite.
This is just the latest in a clear penny pinch since Musk acquired the social platform for $44 billion last October. This week, a Twitter employee said his Slack channel inside the company is inaccessible. Twitter didn’t pay his Slack bill, but it appears the service was shut down internally by Twitter, not Slack.
