OnePlus showcased its latest innovation and new concept, the OnePlus 11, featuring a proprietary active cooling solution called ‘Active CryoFlux’.
OnePlus today showcased its latest innovations and concepts at Mobile World Congress 2023 in Barcelona. The new concept showcases a unique cooling solution aimed at providing active cooling to keep things smooth and fluid at all times. The new technology aims to prevent throttling, and we showed off our latest innovation in a modified version of the OnePlus 11 flagship.
The new cooling system is called “Active CryoFlux”. This is essentially an active liquid cooling technology solution that allows devices to prevent throttling and improve gaming performance and charging speeds. It delivers performance similar to that of other devices and mobile accessories from companies such as Razer and Asus.
According to OnePlus, the new cooling solution offers up to 2.1 degrees cooler temperatures when playing games. According to the company, this could improve fps by 3-4 frames per second. During charging, your device will cool by more than 1.6 degrees Celsius and charge faster for 30-45 seconds.
The idea of active cooling solutions is not new and has been around for some time in the mobile industry, especially in mobile gaming. Gaming smartphones from Nubia, Lenovo, and Asus have these technologies built-in, but some require physical fans or accessories to achieve similar results. Today’s technology is so advanced that new gaming phones like the REDMAGIC 8 Pro don’t heat up to uncomfortably high levels, even after long gaming sessions.
OnePlus’ solution works similarly, but without a physical fan. It’s packed with a ceramic piezoelectric micropump that helps circulate fluid between tubes. Note that this is done on a small scale and the space occupied by the pump is minimal. The company hasn’t provided any insight into the internal components, and we don’t yet know how much space is left for other parts. will move. A tube on the back absorbs heat from his SoC and releases it slowly over time.
We love this concept device, but unfortunately that’s about it. No plans to go into production, but it looks cool. The rear camera has LED lighting. The back of the phone features an illuminated guilloche etching pattern.
It’s unclear if this technology will find its way into production-ready smartphones in the near future, but the flashy look and blue LED could be a game changer. Power users and mobile gamers are always looking for top performance, and this modified OnePlus 11 concept looks like it offers it all in a slim package without adding weight. It showed off another concept with an optical camera cover glass and a color-changing rear panel.
Would you like to see an active cooling solution for your next OnePlus device, and are you interested in an illuminated rear back panel? Let us know in the comments!
