How to clean the rest of your PS VR2 headset
Sony also recommends regular cleaning of headset surfaces, head supports, controller surfaces, connectors and ports, vents, earbuds, and light shields. It’s hard to keep clean and not all can be cleaned the same way/
For almost all PSVR 2 components, Sony recommends the following in their owner’s manuals: avoid Alcohol, wipes, chemically treated cloths, or really damp cloths.

Use a soft, dry cloth (microfiber works, but isn’t strictly necessary) for the headset exterior, straps, ports, and Sense controllers.
For the earpieces, remove them by twisting and pulling, hand wash with mild soap, dry with a soft cloth, and attach ‘tightly’. You don’t need earwax to ruin your surround sound when playing PSVR 2 launch titles like Resident Evil Village.
Aside from the lenses, the most annoying thing about cleaning the PSVR 2 is the black light shield that hits your face while playing. Before cleaning, it must be removed from each of the 14 slots by “wiggling” the base by the right or left edge, and then removed completely.
After removing the light shield, Sony recommends taking the handheld vacuum apart to clean any accumulated dust from the internal vents. Do not hit the lens with the vacuum attachment!
Go back to the light shield. Rinse with water, dry with a cloth, let it air dry for a while, then reattach it to the 14 slots and push the nose guard into the bottom groove. That’s a lot, but it’s worth sparing your forehead and cheeks to prevent skin residue and sweat from accumulating over time and causing rashes and acne.
Consistent and preventative cleaning
The last thing you want is for your headset (especially the lenses) to become permanently dirty or blocked if you don’t take care of it properly. Some of these steps may feel too time consuming and tedious to follow, but buying lots of microfiber cloths and keeping them handy will help clean your lenses and headset before they get dirty.
