HMD Global announces Nokia G22 in partnership with iFixit
Nokia never dies, it just changes ownership, and HMD Global now holds that honor. The company has launched three new phones of his, one of which is his Nokia G22, which is made to be user serviceable. They designed the screen so that it is much easier to replace than regular devices, as well as the charging port. They also brought back an old feature that sadly went off the roadside. A dead battery can be replaced fairly easily.

As for the specs, it won’t blow you away, but at a price of ~$180, which seems like a fair compromise, it runs Android 12 on a 1.6 GHz Unisoc T606 processor and supports SD cards up to 2TB4. Available with GB, 64 GB, or 128 GB internal storage.
Another drawback of this phone is 5G support, although HMD Group is looking to release a 5G model in the future. If you’re looking for an affordable phone that’s designed to be serviceable, it’s worth looking out for.
