Premium bike maker Specialized has announced a more capable update to its Turbo Tero ebike. It’s designed to help you get your gear where you need it, regardless of the terrain. Like Giant and a few others, Specialized describes its latest all-terrain e-bike as “his SUV in the e-bike world.”
“Whether it’s over mountains, forests, deserts, or simply down alleys, we can’t help but seek adventure,” the company said. “Turbo Tero X means one thing: you need a bigger map.
“This go-anywhere, full-suspension e-bike is our vehicle that can go anywhere, do anything, and carry everything. Featuring ample storage space, discovering new adventures is easier than ever.The only question left is: Where?”
Three model options are available, each featuring a 250W Specialized full-power mid-mounted motor that “effectively quadruples” pedal power, allowing riders to carry all kinds of gear promises a “silk-smooth” operation that helps terrain.

The leader of the pack is the Tero X 6.0 model, with up to 28 mph (45 km/h) assist and 90 Nm (66 lb.ft) of hill flattening torque, plus a 12-speed X01 Eagle mechanical 2.2 system motor. The X 5.0 version offers the same maximum assist speed as the 6.0 model, has the same capacity battery, but comes with a specialized full power 2.0 motor capable of producing 70 Nm (51.6 lb.ft) of torque . RockShox suspension is shaped as a 35 Silver TK fork and Deluxe Select R shock, the mechanical drivetrain is a SRAM GX Eagle, and the headlights shine with 600 lumens. This model is slightly heavier at 59.9 pounds (27.2 kg) and costs $5,500.
