HMD kicked off the MWC experience with three new phones: the Nokia C32, Nokia C22, and the easily repairable Nokia G22.

Start with the Nokia C32.

Nokia C32

The Nokia C32 is the first C-series device from Nokia to use a glass rear panel. There is a grooved texture across the width of the panel that feels good to the touch and prevents slipping.

The display is a 6.5-inch 720 x 1600px IPS liquid crystal. The brightness and contrast are great, and the colors are punchy and vibrant. The screen loses some of its quality at angles, but that’s normal.

Nokia C32

There are two cameras on the back. A 50MP main camera (a first for a C-series phone) and a 2MP macro sensor. On the other side is an 8MP selfie camera.

The Nokia C32 has a 3.5 mm headphone jack and also has a wireless FM radio. It also has a fingerprint scanner mounted on the side, but you can use the front-facing camera for face unlocking that works even with masks.

As for the battery, it has a generous 5,000mAh pack that charges a bit slower at just 10W.

What I didn’t expect was the weight of the Nokia C32. It is a sturdy mobile phone weighing about 200g. Coupled with the glass panel and better design, the C32 is decidedly more premium than his C22.

The Nokia C32 is available in Charcoal, Autumn Green and Beach Pink starting at €129.

Nokia C22

The Nokia C22 shares some features with the C32, mainly a 6.5-inch 720x1600px display and a 5,000mAh battery with 10W charging.

The base treatment is also the same Unisoc SC9863A.

The back panel has a similar grooved design, but is made of plastic. It also has a capacitive fingerprint scanner at the top center of the back.

Nokia C22

The main camera is a step down at 13MP, but flanked by the same 2MP macro snapper. The front-facing camera shares the C32’s 8MP resolution and doubles as a face scanner, even when wearing a mask.

Like the Nokia C32, the C22 has a 3.5 mm headphone jack and wireless FM radio. The Nokia C22 comes with 2GB or 3GB of RAM and 64GB of storage. You can bump it through the microSD slot.

The Nokia C22 comes in Midnight Black and Sand, with prices starting at €109.

Nokia G22

The Nokia G22 is Nokia’s new flagship mobile phone. It has the same 6.5-inch 720x1600px IPS LCD, but the refresh rate is faster than his 90Hz.

The G22’s chipset is also excellent. With the Unisoc T606 and his 4GB of RAM there is a difference in performance. The G22 feels snappier than the C-series phones.

Nokia G22

The camera is also more beautiful. The main camera is his 50MP f/1.8 unit with a larger sensor, with his two her 2MP sensors around it.

Finally, in terms of specs, the Nokia G22 has a larger 5,050mAh battery with 20W fast charging.

What makes the Nokia G22 special is its serviceability. Nokia has made it more sustainable by taking steps to make it easier to replace the battery and display.

Replacing the Nokia G22 battery takes about 5 minutes and the only tools you need are a SIM ejector tool, a guitar pick and a screwdriver. Changing the display takes about 20 minutes with some additional tools. HMD has partnered with iFixit to provide tools, guides, and parts for replacing the Nokia G22 display, charging port, or battery. Of course, you can also bring your G22 to an authorized service center for repair.

Nokia has greatly reduced the steps required to repair the G22, eliminating the need to heat and remove the back cover and using alcohol to remove the battery.
