refresh page

Doesn’t sound like a classic tech support meme, but have you tried refreshing the page? Seriously, this is working for people. Updating ChatGPT can send new requests to the server and push you to the front of the line.

logout and login again

Just like refreshing the page, logging out of ChatGPT and logging back in creates a new signal request to the server. This may be enough to get the platform’s attention.

Use a VPN or incognito mode

You may not be able to access ChatGPT due to the IP address you are using. Changing the IP address will ping a different server with a different server capacity. Another way to have a similar effect is to go to incognito mode in your browser.

try during non-peak hours

ChatGPT often hits capacity as everyone tries to use it at the same time. A workaround is to try accessing ChatGPT during off-peak hours. Roughly speaking, this translates to early morning or late night in your time zone, and no one is trying to use ChatGPT to summarize a book or write a cover letter.

Upgrade to ChatGPT Plus

Subscribers who pay for the premium version, called ChatGPT Plus, are also available during periods of high demand, get faster response speeds, and access new features. If you really want to use ChatGPT, you can pay $20/month for Plus subscription.

If all else fails… try another AI language model
