Following its debut at Mobile World Congress earlier this week, the Honor Magic5 Pro entered our office and joined our review queue.
So let’s do some unpacking and then talk a little bit about this powerful smartphone. Honor has packaged the Magic5 Pro with a case, 66W charger, and cable. Our unit is from Meadow Green.

The Honor Magic5 Pro is an impressive device. The corners of the windshield are contoured and taper to the sides. Brings a sleek, curvy look and feel to your phone.
Then on the back, the panel gently rises to align with the camera island, creating an eye-catching subtle bulge. The back is also textured, which pleases some and annoys others.
Unique design of Magic5 Pro
Up front, the Magic5 Pro comes with a gorgeous 6.81-inch 1312x2848px with a 120Hz variable refresh rate, 1800 nit peak brightness, dual punch holes to fit a 12MP ultra-wide selfie camera, and a ToF 3D sensor for both depth readings. I have an AMOLED panel. , and biometric unlocking.
Unique profile of the sides
Honor takes the Magic5 Pro’s camera performance seriously. It comes with a 50MP 23mm main camera with a custom 1/1.12 inch sensor. It has 1.4µm pre-binned large pixels. These increase to 2.8µm after binning at 12MP. That’s not much smaller than his 3.2µm binned pixels on a 1-inch type sensor.
There are also two 50MP cameras. A 13mm ultra-wide angle unit with autofocus and 2.5cm macro function, and a 90mm periscope telephoto camera with up to 100x digital magnification.
Magic5 Pro is capable of full-fledged phone shooting. It also topped the smartphone ranking of DxOMark.
