Samsung proved this further as the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 updates introduced a new camera controller feature.

The updated camera controller feature is available for Galaxy Watch 5, Watch 5 Pro, Watch 4, and Watch 4 Classic.
How to control a Galaxy phone’s camera with the Galaxy Watch
1. wake your galaxy watch.
2. swipe up Show app drawer.
3. Find and tap camera icon.
4a. Wait for your phone’s camera app to open.
4b. Wait for the preview to finish loading on your Galaxy Watch.
5. Arrange the photos you want to take.
6. Tap . shutter button.
If you want to control your Galaxy phone’s camera with the Galaxy Watch, there are a few different controls Samsung offers. When enabled, you’ll see a 3-second countdown between when you tap the shutter button and when the photo is actually taken.
After taking a photo, an image preview appears in the bottom left and you can scroll through recent photos. Additionally, if you use the Galaxy Watch to start recording video from your smartphone, there’s another button to the right of the shutter.
Being able to take pictures and record videos from your Galaxy S23 to your Galaxy Watch 4 or Galaxy Watch 5 is very convenient. However, while Samsung supports portrait and night modes, there is no way to switch between these modes from the Galaxy Watch.
Additionally, if you are looking to take advantage of other camera modes available on Samsung’s best phones, you will not be able to use this app. Finally, to switch between different modes, you have to switch from your phone, as you can’t do it from your smartwatch.
