Companies are announcing new fast-charging tech left and right, and Infinix doesn’t seem to want to be left out of the fun. The company today announced its new All-Round FastCharge technology that offers an impressive 260W fast wired charging and an astonishing 110W fast wireless charging solution.

Infinix’s new charging solution is faster than other OEM charging tech, but lags slightly behind Xiaomi’s recently announced 300W fast wired charging solution. Nevertheless, Infinix says it can charge the device from 1-100% in just 7.5 minutes using its 260W All-Round FastCharge technology. The company says the phone can charge from zero to 25% in just one minute.
And if that’s not enough, there’s also the new 110W wireless all-around FastCharge technology. That’s 10W more than HONOR’s Magic4 Pro, with wireless charging at 100W. Infinix says its wireless charging solution can charge a phone to 100% in just 16 minutes. That’s faster than most wired solutions available today and the fastest wireless charging technology we’ve seen to date.
Infinix says the new charging architecture uses a “four-pump intelligent circuit design” that identifies power requirements and allocates the number of charge pumps required for operation. The company also uses an upgraded 12C high-rate 4,400mAh battery with multi-electrode lug construction to offer an efficiency rating of 98.5%. According to Infinix’s press release, the battery retains more than 90% of his energy after 1,000 cycles.
As for the charger itself, Infinix uses GaN material PFC (Power Factor Correction) + AHB (Advanced Hybrid Batteries) circuit architecture, which has high power density, small size and safe charging control. The cable also uses an Emarker chip capable of delivering up to 13A of current, ensuring a charging speed of 260W.
The wireless charging pad uses a custom-made, small, high-sensitivity coil that “has fewer coils and wider coils in the same space than traditional designs.” Infinix says its wireless charging solution lowers phone temperatures, increases peak power output and improves the efficiency of the charging process.
New wired and wireless charging solutions are compatible and support reverse charging, bypass charging and multi-protocol charging. Additionally, it is compatible with other protocols such as Power Delivery 3.0. Infinix has confirmed that its new tech will be featured in his Infinix Note series devices this year.
Just because it charges faster doesn’t mean it will last longer
As more and more companies enter the race for the fastest charging solutions, the competition will increase and we will see faster charging technologies. While we’re excited, we’d also love to see some breakthroughs and innovations in the battery department.
Every few months we hear about companies working on new battery cells and technology, but for decades we haven’t seen any groundbreaking innovation in the field. There is constant pressure to push boundaries, but the next generation of affordable and mass-produced battery technology will be years away.
Our needs and demands increase as the technology around us evolves and improves. We’re excited to test the new fast wired and wireless charging tech, but hopefully the battery we’ve relied on for years will be greatly improved.
