Apparently, everyone wants to delete their Instagram account.
Cybersecurity website VPNOverview analyzed search trends for the top 30 most popular apps and identified the ones Americans are most interested in removing. They found ways to “delete” or “deactivate” Instagram in over 900,000 searches, more than any other app the group analyzed. Behind Instagram were 385,410 Facebook delete or deactivate searches, 217,400 Snapchat searches, 92,490 Twitter searches and 24,819 Telegram searches. According to VPNOverview, the number of searches is just over 14,000, compared to TikTok, which was doing “limit-delete searches.”
