With a large selection of value-focused wireless earbuds, headsets and speakers, there is no shortage of options in these categories, but Tribit differentiates itself by offering products that focus on value over weight. increase.

It’s technically a portable Bluetooth speaker, but its 11.9-pound weight limits its usability. You can’t throw it in your bag. That said, the StormBox Blast is a phenomenal party speaker, and the sound quality you get here is on par with products he costs twice as much.
There’s a lot to love about this area, so let’s start with the design. The StormBox Blast has a bold design thanks to its size. Tribit has done a great job incorporating the LEDs around his two drivers on the sides and center. There are a total of 32 LEDs on the front of the speaker that sync to music and add to your device’s party credentials.
The lighting isn’t very customizable, but the LEDs add a fun dimension to the speaker and make it more fun to use. In that regard, you can use his two units of StormBox Blast in stereo mode.
The front has a series of controls including power, Bluetooth pairing, volume and play/pause controls, LED brightness adjustment, and a button for XBass mode. A large carrying handle on top makes the StormBox Blast relatively easy to transport, and the build quality is top-notch along with the fit and finish.
An AC port for charging your devices is on the back, there’s a 3.5 mm auxiliary input jack for manually connecting your phone, and there’s also a USB-C charging port. These ports are hidden behind protective covers. That’s because StormBox Blast offers his IPX7 intrusion protection. So, while it’s not made to withstand dust, it can withstand water ingress without issue, making it perfect for pool parties.

One reason for that weight is the size of the battery. It has a huge 18,650mAh battery that lasts up to 30 hours on a full charge. In my use he managed over 22 hours of listening time with the volume set to 50% and it’s still very decent.
The biggest advantage of the high-capacity battery is that you can use the USB-C port on the back to charge other devices using the StormBox Blast. Currently, the charging port is limited to 5V/1A, so you only get 5W of power, but if you’re outdoors and your phone is low on power, that’s plenty. The StormBox Blast has two 30W woofers and two 15W tweeters producing a total of 90W. That’s more than enough for any party, and the speakers can fill a large room without turning up the volume too much. It provides a moderate combination of high frequencies. It levels off at higher frequencies, but that’s not a major drawback given the intended use of this product.
StormBox Blast is especially suitable for low frequencies. Tribit is no joke about the body-shaking bass on offer here. The low end is totally dynamic and engaging, and the XBass mode speeds things up. Enabling XBass mode doesn’t give the most accurate sound, but the pronounced bass is pleasant. There is some distortion at max volume, but the StormBox Blast was too loud to go above 50%. The only downside to this area is that there is no built-in microphone, so you can’t make calls. Other than that, I didn’t see any issues with the StormBox Blast — it connected via Bluetooth 5.3 and maintained a solid connection with my Galaxy S23 Ultra, Pixel 7 Pro, and other devices I’ve used in the last 4 months. .
Overall, I really like StormBox Blast. It looks great, sounds amazing, and its large battery is more than enough for most outdoor parties. XBass mode is a fun addition that makes the sound a little more lively. The LEDs add another dimension to the sound and the fact that it’s waterproof makes it perfect for any occasion. For $159, no other Bluetooth speaker offers as many features.
