Many manufacturers have entered the foldable market, and it feels like the options have finally increased. Foldable devices are still not cheap. That’s still a few years away, but there’s competition to bring the price down and polish the rough edges of the early models.
Honor announced the start of the global rollout of Magic Vs at MWC, the Oppo Find N2 Flip went global in February, Tecno unveiled the first foldable Phantom V Fold, and OnePlus said it’s working on foldables. Confirm, Realme that Google will eventually stop delaying releases like the Pixel Fold. Of course, rumors of Apple’s foldables continue to circulate.

Samsung still dominates the market, but things are starting to change. The competition is still there and will heat up significantly before 2023 is over.
Is there a phone with the right features at the right price to try out the new form factor?
In our last survey, we lumped all foldable devices together, but I think most people are only interested in one form factor (whether it’s landscape or portrait)? It focused on large horizontal phones such as Galaxy Z Fold4, Honor Magic Vs, Oppo Find N2, Tecno Phantom V Fold, vivo X Fold+, Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 (and Huawei phones).
It’s not just the Galaxy Z Flip4 and the Motorola Razr 2022, but Flip foldables are still very rare.There’s the Find N2 Flip, plus vivo and OnePlus have vertical foldables in addition to horizontal foldables. is said to be working on It’s not clear in which direction Realme will go, but Samsung will certainly release one of each.

Note that Apple’s first foldable is said to be a tablet, not a phone. That market is relatively untapped, unless you count foldable laptops like ThinkPads and Zenbooks (although such devices are rare).
