Google launched a program aimed at fans of Pixel smartphones in 2021 before the Pixel 6 series debuted that same year, but it was only available in the US. That exclusivity has now ended as the Pixel Superfans program has expanded to the UK.
The sign-up form for this program is now live on the Google Store page. This page asks about your social media accounts, associated communities, hobbies, and some personal information. You’ll also have to tell the search giant which product from Google, Nest, or Fitbit you’re using, like his best Android phone or his Fitbit tracker.
Google also asks new members which perks they are most interested in. For newcomers, the program provides early access to new products and features, as well as exclusive invitations to events. The Pixel Superfans member can also meet the team behind her favorite Google device.
It’s also a social networking platform of sorts in the sense that members can connect with other Pixel fans. Google apparently uses this program to send special offers and discounts to members. This is another marketing strategy the company employs.
That said, there’s no harm in joining the program, but Google says the program is only available to people living in England, Scotland, Wales, and Northern Ireland.
“Pixel Superfans is for people who love their Pixel products,” Google says on its signup page. “We were inspired to create this program because we know a lot of people love Pixels as much as we do, and we wanted to create a space where we could get to know each other.”
