Oscars 2023: The Best Original Song musical performances

The 95th Annual Academy Awards, held Sunday at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, honored the best films and filmmakers of the past year, as well as the best original songs written for the silver screen.

As is tradition, the nominees for Best Original Song were performed during the ceremony, and the audience took a break from both the acceptance speech and host Jimmy Kimmel.This included a sausage finger performance of “This Is A Life” from All at once, anywhereleading the nominations with 11, Rihanna paid tribute to Chadwick Boseman Black Panther: Wakanda Forever‘s “Lift Me Up”.

Lady Gaga gave a naked performance Top Gun: Maverick‘s “Hold My Hand,” Sofia Carson and Diane Warren shared the stage for “Applause.” Tell It Like A Woman.

But the Oscar for Best Original Song ultimately went to RRR“Naatu Naatu” colored the stage with a delightful dance performance. Lyricist Chandrabose and composer MM Keeravani of her “Naatu Naatu” together won the award, the latter sticking to the theme by singing a parody of The Carpenters’ “Top of the World.”
