Google has announced its first feature removal for 2023. This brings a number of new features to older Pixel phones, including drop detection for Pixel Watches.
The wearable can now automatically detect if you’ve fallen hard and connect you to emergency services or send an automated message for help. Of course, you will be prompted first to see if everything is okay.

If you have multiple Google devices in your home, a feature called At a Glance will let you set a timer on one and track the time remaining on your Pixel. You can also send a push notification to your smartphone to disable the ringer with a single tap or extend it by 1 minute.
Pixels also come with Health Connect, the leading hub for all active sports-related data collected from compatible apps and devices. Users will be able to decide which devices collect how much data, and there will be more transparency about what data is actually collected and stored.
Google announced support for UWB digital car keys. This allows Pixel to be the main key for var. It automatically locks or unlocks when you approach the car, and you can start the engine from the handset in your pocket instead of docking it in your phone tray, though this feature is coming “in the next few weeks.”
More emoji combinations are now available in Gboard’s Emoji Kitchen. On select devices, you can use two eSIMs with Dual SIM Dual Standby on Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.
