OnePlus’ Nord line marks a return to form for a company that has historically produced affordable phones with great specs for the price, and shows no signs of slowing down. A new rumor has revealed when the Chinese phone maker will unveil its next budget smartphone.
According to reliable leaker Max Jambor, OnePlus will unwrap the Nord CE 3 Lite on April 4th.

The phone was initially thought to be the OnePlus Nord CE 3 when renders and specs were revealed last November thanks to Steve Hemmerstoffer (@OnLeaks).leaker retracted his earlier allegations (opens in new tab) Earlier this month, it said the phone would launch as the Nord CE 3 Lite instead.
Based on information @OnLeaks shared with tech blog Gadget Gang late last year, the Nord CE 3 Lite may be slightly better than its predecessor. The device will reportedly include a Snapdragon 695 5G chipset, similar to the Nord CE 2 Lite.
The chipset can be combined with up to 12 GB of RAM and up to 256 GB of internal storage. It’s a minor improvement, but one that’s exciting considering the previous model was limited to 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.
The display division is likely to gain some traction this time around with 6.7 inches versus 6.59 inches last year. It is said to have FullHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of up to 120Hz.
We also saw an upgrade to the rear optics. Rumor has it that the device will add a 108MP main sensor and two of his 2MP shooters, presumably depth and macro sensors. The main camera is interesting because in many of the best Android smartphones under $300 he is hard to come by with a 108MP sensor.
However, the front camera may be the same at 16MP. The battery (5000mAh) is another feature that apparently won’t be upgraded, except that it’s said to have a 67W charging speed.
Given that the Nord CE 2 Lite sold for under $300 at launch, we expect its successor to sell in the same ballpark.
