Over the past few years, Google has revamped its smartphone strategy. The company overhauled its flagship smartphone lineup with the launch of the Pixel 6 series, followed by the Pixel 6a, a budget-friendly option. has been fixed. And now we get our first glimpse of Google’s flagship smartphone of 2023, the Pixel 8 Pro. I made it
Leaked renders of the Pixel 8 Pro @onlyx And smart puri. A quick look at the render reveals that the general design retains the signature Pixel look, but with some notable changes. One of the most significant changes is the replacement of the curved display with a flat front panel. With this change, the Pixel 8 Pro will have slightly smaller dimensions than the Pixel 7 Pro, at 162.6 x 76.5 x 8.7 mm.
The camera bar on the Pixel 8 Pro also sees some significant changes. Renderings show the Pixel 8 Pro has three camera sensors, similar to previous “Pro” phones, but this time all three sensors are grouped into the same cutout in the camera bar. In addition, a fourth sensor is placed. It’s unclear what this sensor does, but it could be a better autofocus system, a macro or depth sensor, something like his LiDAR on his iPhone for AR.
Renderings also suggest that the Pixel 8 Pro’s corner radii will be larger than its predecessors. Additionally, it’s worth pointing out that although the front panel is now flatter, it still retains a slight curve along the back edge for better ergonomics and feel. If dropped, cracks may easily occur.
In addition to rendering the Pixel 8 Pro, information has also leaked about the Pixel 7a and Pixel Fold smartphones. According to WinFuture officials, the Pixel 7a and Pixel Fold (which reports say will be the official name) will launch in mid-June. This means the device will be available for purchase one month after its rumored Google I/O 2023 launch.
The Pixel Fold was rumored to launch at the same time as the Pixel 7 series, but its launch has been delayed. According to reports, the Pixel Fold will be powered by the Google Tensor G2 chipset and will be available in Carbon and Porcelain colors. Although the list only shows the 256GB option, it is expected that higher storage options will become available. The Pixel Fold is expected to face stiff competition from the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold series and his upcoming OnePlus foldable offerings.
Google’s next budget smartphone, the Pixel 7a, will also arrive in mid-June alongside the Pixel Fold. According to reports, the Pixel 7a will be available in Carbon, Cotton, and Arctic Blue, with a possible Jade color variant as well, based on the speckled matching Jade color case. The Pixel 7a comes with at least 128 GB onboard storage, with a rumored starting price of around €500.
All in all, we are at a packed I/O event. I can’t wait to see what Google has in store for us. There may also be some surprise announcements if Google continues with last year’s theme. Which Pixel device are you most looking forward to? Let us know in the comments section below!
