Yesterday, CAD-based renders of the Pixel 8 Pro leaked, giving us our first look at the upcoming flagship Google device due to launch around October. , compared the Pixel 8 Pro’s screen to that of its predecessor, last year’s Pixel 7 Pro, and compared the Pixel 8 to the Pixel 7.
As you can see, the Pixel 8 Pro’s display has significantly less curved edges. On the one hand, it comes with much more rounded corners. This latter change could make the handset easier to hold than the Pixel 7 Pro.

Samsung has also opted to make the Ultra’s edges less curved in recent years, and Google now appears to be following in the footsteps of the Korean company in that regard. Not surprising given the fact that it is expected to supply .
By the way, note that what you see in the “rounded corners” comparison shot is not the bezel. These are raw CAD shots and are not meant to show as such. The Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro don’t have unsightly giant bezels. Hopefully they’ll never be trendy again.
