Samsung has introduced some new tools for users to enjoy if they need to photograph and document the world around them while staying mobile.
WinFuture’s Roland Quandt spotted Consumers can get two new add-on camera accessories in the UK Samsung store where they can pick up a Galaxy S23 series gadget case (via The Verge). While there are quite a few great Galaxy S23 cases, Gadget Case has a modular tool that allows you to attach other stands and tripods to your phone, and the company has some pretty unique accessories.
The first new accessory is a slim tripod stand that folds flat against your device and then easily unfolds. Samsung designed the legs of this tiny phone tripod out of aluminum to keep your phone steady on certain surfaces. This new tripod stand can also be rotated using a predetermined hinge structure, allowing users to record or shoot photos vertically or horizontally as desired.
Samsung also shows a camera accessory that holds collapsible legs horizontally together and acts as a grip for shooting video.
The UK store lists the £34 slim tripod stand for around $41.
The second accessory, the Camera Grip Stand, comes with its own remote shutter button. This particular tool seems to be great for keeping the phone at a distance, propping it with accessories, and using the Bluetooth shutter remote to take pictures and videos.
Consumers can use the grip stand to hold the Galaxy S23 Ultra or another S23 series phone horizontally or vertically in their hands. Additionally, the accessory offers a unique tripod stand that automatically unfolds when pulled out from within the stand. This allows users to get a little more creative by twisting their phones into more interesting angles.
Samsung’s compact Camera Grip Stand does not have a list price in the UK store. However, The Verge was able to find the product listed in the Hong Kong store for around $45 converted.
So far, the new camera accessories are currently not available in US Samsung stores. But expect (read: hope) Samsung to announce a new line of camera accessories in the near future.
