Tentsla adds a four-person tent to the back of a Tesla Model Y

We’ve seen a few camping concepts that incorporate the Tesla Cybertruck, but it’s highly unlikely you’ll own such a vehicle. However, the Tentsla X1 tent is aimed at the existing (and widely owned) Tesla Model Y SUV.

The X1, which is currently the subject of a Kickstarter campaign, is manufactured by Colorado-based startup Tentsla. This device is intended for use in Model Y “Camper Mode”. In this mode, the electric SUV automatically adjusts the heating and air conditioning to ensure comfort for those sleeping inside.Connected To that.

Like other vehicle rear tents we’ve seen, the X1 is attached to the rear of the Model Y via a “tunnel” in the tent flaps, the ends of which attach to Velcro strips around the SUV’s open hatch. It’s stuck. It claims to take just five minutes to set up, and uses the included pump to pump air into the tent’s inflatable frame.

When ready, the X1 reportedly sleeps up to four people in its main compartment, which measures approximately 220 cm long, 210 cm wide and 180 cm high (87 x 83 x 70 inches). That said, a few people can sleep in the back of the Model Y, especially when outfitted with something like Dreamcase’s custom-fit mattress.

Additionally, the X1 features a pole suspension front awning that extends from the tent’s full-width zippered front entrance, a rear awning that shades the SUV, and a single side awning that extends to the full-width side entrance.

I’m here. Everything fits in the included bag and can be stored in your Tesla’s lower trunk or “flank” (front trunk). Weight he is said to be 21 kg (46 lbs).

Assuming the Tentsla X1 reaches production, you can buy it for a US$599 pledge. Planned retail price is $1,199. The video below shows it.
