Artificial intelligence still doesn’t seem to solve the long-standing problem of websites and online services going down.
OpenAI’s popular ChatGPT is currently facing a widespread outage that is making AI chatbots inaccessible to users.
Currently, ChatGPT may restrict free plan users during periods of significant activity. OpenAI offers paid tiers even when capacity is reached for users who need to restrict access to ChatGPT. However, even users paying for the $20/month subscription to the Plus plan are unable to sign in at this time.

However, the issue appears to have been fixed by about 6:30 AM ET. After that, the user started experiencing downtime again just after noon his EST.
Earlier this year, ChatGPT became the fastest growing app in history, reaching 100 million users in just two months.
It is unknown what the issue is affecting ChatGPT. Mashable has reached out to his OpenAI for comment and will update this article when we hear back.
