Before you go too deep down the rabbit hole, here’s a TL;DR. Former President Donald Trump believes he will be arrested soon and freaks out about it online.
Well, not long ago there was a time when former President Donald Trump’s recent Twitter freakout was the news of the day. Ditched Twitter, even after actually asking him to come back.
To be clear, it’s not entirely clear if or when Trump will be indicted and arrested. After first alleging Saturday, the former president basically called mass protests in a manner strikingly similar to the January 6th Capitol riots. I called.
“It’s time!!!” Trump wrote to True Social. “We cannot allow this any more. They are killing our country. We are sitting and watching. We have to save America! Protest, protest, protest.” !!!”
Since then, it’s basically been one extended rant.
Now, you can be forgiven for losing sight of exactly why Trump was arrested. After all, there have been countless investigations, incidents and scandals. The pressing issue is the New York grand jury investigation into alleged hush money from Trump to cover up sexual encounters.

Trump claims both(opens in new tab) He hasn’t done anything wrong and even if he did they can’t do anything about it. “They are years past the statute of limitations, in this case two years. More importantly, there were no crimes!!!” he wrote on Monday.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg. But you catch the drift. Over the past few days, Trump has treated Truth Social the way he has treated Twitter for years. He throws his attacks and ideas and justifications at the wall like so many spaghetti bundles, expecting one or he two sticks. Of course, Truth Social is little more than an echo chamber of flattery, and his die-hard followers eat it all up.
