Sauron’s eye sees all
Just like the rest of the series, you get some caps to replace and the tools to do it. The keyboard lighting, like most keyboards, is subdued and barely visible unless you’re typing directly on the keyboard. It’s a shame they didn’t find a way to replace it with red LED lighting, but that certainly would have increased the price.
The English letters are very small and the cap color is fairly dark gray, making it suitable for touch typists. Like the Kizdur model, it is very attractive to Lord of the Rings fans. Sauron’s eyes are beautifully etched, and the backward-tilting Black Speech character really adds something.
Sold at $30 off the MSRP, $169 is a fair price for the chassis and switch. The keycaps, including the pointy ear keycaps, are sold separately for $130.
