At Game Developers Conference 2023 (GDC), Nreal announced the launch of Nebula for Windows. This is another addition to the Nebula system that enhances the desktop gaming experience on Nreal Air AR glasses. This news is a big win for gamers who want to experience the game on a “theater size” display using AR glasses.
Nreal’s new Nebula for Windows feature will allow gamers to connect Nreal Air AR glasses to their computers. According to the company, users will now be able to simulate an ultrawide virtual monitor, improving their gaming experience and taking it to the next level.
Nebula for Windows provides a virtual curved gaming display with a 21:9 aspect ratio and enhanced 3-DoF (3 degrees of freedom) tracking capabilities. This will allow gamers to “bring a virtual gaming cockpit to the console for a more dynamic and realistic gaming experience.” This new feature enables a more immersive gaming experience while using Windows and Nreal Air AR glasses.
A recent survey by Nreal also revealed that 68% of users have adopted Nreal Air in their games, and 56% use it in console games. According to the company, 36% of his users used Nreal Air on Steam Deck, 14% used AR glasses on PlayStation and Xbox game consoles, and Nintendo Switch was 6.29% of him.
As Nreal continues to grow, the company announced it will ship over 100,000 AR glasses in 2022. An iOS device immersed in augmented reality.
