WhatsApp will soon let you chat with WhatsApp on WhatsApp

WhatsApp is now on WhatsApp.

The chat app has launched its own official WhatsApp account (via WABetaInfo).(opens in new tab)) to receive updates and tips on how to use the platform.

According to the outlet, the feature is available for both iPhone and Android users with the latest version of WhatsApp, but it appears that it’s only rolling out to a small percentage of users. There is no way to manually enable this chat or find his WhatsApp as a user in your own app. Instead, WhatsApp will send you a message and you can start chatting. It’s unclear how many users received this feature or when it will roll out to everyone.

WhatsApp kicked things off with an explanation for lost messages, a feature the company first introduced in 2020 and has improved over time.

WhatsApp chat accounts are similar to those found on Viber and Telegram, both of which regularly ping you to let you know about new features on the platform. Luckily, WhatsApp says you can archive or block official accounts if you don’t want to receive messages from them.
