The Redmi Note 12 series debuted in Europe earlier this week and is now making its way into offices one by one. Now that we’ve welcomed the Redmi 12 Pro, it’s time to say ‘hello’ to his 5G member of the Redmi Note 12 duo.
The Redmi Note 12 5G is the second smartphone to use the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset and the first one we can test, so it will be interesting to see how that chipset performs. Just as important as sheer speed is how well it works with the 48MP main camera and the 8MP ultra-wide camera to maximize image quality.

The 6.67-inch 120Hz OLED screen looks very promising on paper. But before we leave for the lab, let’s do a quick unboxing.
We got the fresh forest green color of the Redmi Note 12, but we also have a cool ice blue and a slightly boring onyx gray. The box also includes a 33W charger, a USB-C cable and a see-through plastic case necessary to support the phone’s maximum charging rate.

That’s three more useful accessories than you’ll find in the Galaxy S23 Ultra or iPhone 14 Pro Max boxes, but such is the case.

Once we’re done unpacking, it’s time to hand the Redmi Note 12 over to our review team and see what they have to say about it.
