Most of us now subscribe to at least one streaming TV service. However, certain movies or TV shows you want to watch may not be available on your streaming service, or may not be available for streaming at all. One way to access movies and TV shows is by downloading them from YouTube’s vast library of entertainment content. The YouTube app for Android makes it easy to buy or rent movies on the go (TV shows are usually only available for purchase).
How to buy movies and TV shows on YouTube
1. YouTube app on your Android device.
2. If you haven’t signed in to your Google account yet, login. Then proceed to the next step.
3. Tap library lower right menu.
4. Selection movies and shows and Browse or search Click the icon (magnifying glass) and enter the name of the show or movie you want to purchase.
5. When you find Select movie or show i want to download
6. Tap buy or rent Appears in a blue bar below the video preview window (may say Purchase without rental option).
7. If more than one option is available, such as Standard Definition, High Definition, or Ultra High Definition, a price or price list will be displayed. For movies, you’ll also see the option to rent or buy.choose Preferred option.
8. Your payment will be processed. If not yet processed, You added a credit card, debit card, or PayPal to your accountor if you have a redeemable code, you will be asked to enter this information to complete the purchase.
Google used to offer access to tons of YouTube Originals with a YouTube Premium subscription, but that’s no longer the case. Most of that content is now available to watch for free. If you want something else, enjoy ad-free content with a YouTube Premium subscription or buy movies and shows a la carte from YouTube and watch them freely, with some restrictions.
When you buy movies and TV shows from YouTube, one of the best Android apps, you own them as long as you have a Google account. If you rent a movie instead, you must watch the content within 30 days. You can finish watching it within 48 hours of starting it, but it’s great if you’re looking for something to watch for your road trip or daily commute.
Please note that to enjoy HD and UHD playback, you must watch on a source device that supports it. For example, if you’re watching on your phone’s small screen, it’s hardly worth buying his UHD version of the movie unless you plan to watch it on the big screen later.
