On March 22, 2023 at 11:23 PM EDT, Relativity Space successfully launched its first nearly fully 3D-printed rocket from Launch Complex 16 at Space Force Station Cape Canaveral, Florida. Despite the failure of the second stage, Relativity Space said its purpose as a prototype was to demonstrate that a 3D-printed rocket could operate as an orbital launcher by performing all stages from launch to stage.
