- Google Pixel tablets were still waiting to hit retail stores.
- A recent leak has featured a speaker dock where a Pixel tablet sits.
- The code in the Google Home app demonstrates the new “hub mode”.
The Google Pixel Tablet is the highly anticipated device that has yet to be revealed by the search giant. We already know what it will look like from Google I/O 2022 and when the Pixel 7 series launches, but new details have surfaced about the accessories it’s supposed to come with.
The new Android tablet has been confirmed to come with a stand called the “Google Pixel tablet stand,” as tipster Snoopy Tech points out. This is a dock for the upcoming Pixel Tablet that will likely transform your Android tablet into something akin to the Google Nest Hub Max when it’s not in tablet mode.
A photo shared by the tipster hints at a speaker setup built into the dock. There’s also a power input on the back, suggesting home hub functionality when placed. there is.

This setup looks a lot like the Pixel Tablet live image that hit the Facebook Marketplace last December.
The expected motive with the whole docking feature is to replace the current Nest Hub device.
Meanwhile, a recent 9to5Google report delved into the Google Home app as part of their APK Insights initiative. The code in the app hints at the Pixel tablet entering “hub mode” when placed in the dock, implying a key physical connection with the pin.
9to5’s report further states that when not in hub mode, the dock accessory is primarily considered a speaker and can be paired with the Google Home app. This is a nice way to utilize the dock and is useful even when not connected to a tablet.
As we get closer to Google I/O 2023, expect to learn more about tablets at the event.
