How to share your phone’s internet connection with your laptop
To get started, you’ll need a Samsung Galaxy phone and a Windows-based PC. The Instant Hotspot feature is currently exclusive to Samsung.
Once everything is set up, install the free Phone Link app on your Windows-based PC and Android smartphone.
1.) Download phone link in Microsoft Store (opens in new tab) on Windows.
2.) Download Link for Windows on Google Play Store. (opens in new tab) for android.

Once your phone and PC are linked, you need to do some initial setup to let your PC know that it’s okay to use your phone’s data connection automatically. Here’s how:
3.) Open phone link app on your PC.
4.) in the top right setting gear.
5.) Choice feature From the settings menu.
6.) Scroll to the bottom and select Setting up Instant Hotspot.
7.) Follow the prompts to Add phone hotspot to your PC.

While going through the prompts, you will have to accept certain permissions on your phone. First, you need to link your smartphone and PC with a Bluetooth connection. This is mostly automated, but you still need to tap accept on both your phone and PC to pair the devices. After pairing is complete, proceed to the next step.
8.) Open System setting on your phone. You can find the settings in the app drawer on the home screen.
9.) Tap connected device.
10.) Tap Link to Windows.
11.) Toggle instant hotspot upon.

Once setup is complete, return to your PC and exit.
12.) Open PC quick settingsIt’s the bottom right area of the taskbar next to the clock.
13.) Tap the arrow next to the Wi-Fi icon to Manage your Wi-Fi connection.
14.) Select your phone from the list and tap it. connection.

From now on, your PC should automatically connect to your Samsung Galaxy phone’s Wi-Fi hotspot whenever it’s not within range of a saved Wi-Fi connection. If it doesn’t happen automatically, you can always find your phone’s name in the Wi-Fi connection in this quick access panel.
